3rd Gen Apple TV Discontinued

Apple has quietly discontinued its 4-year-old 3rd generation Apple TV, one of the oldest streaming players seen as less expensive option for people who wanted access to their iTunes library on their TV.
Apple’s move was not surprising as older Apple TVs were not really popular. They lacked the Apple App Store and had just a fraction of the apps of even the fourth-gen Apple TV.
In recent months, there were rumours that Apple was just waiting for the existing stock of third-gen Apple TVs to sell. It seems that now, almost a year after the fourth-gen Apple TV hit the market, Apple has finally sold their stock of third-gen Apple TVs.
